Aims and Scope

The journal is aimed at the development and scientific popularization of Luria’s Systemic Cultural-Historical approach in various fields of Psychology and Neuroscience. The journal intends to publish domestic and foreign results of current theoretical, empirical and applied psychological research, interdisciplinary research at the intersection of neuroscience, Psychology, and Pedagogy; preservation of the legacy of A. R. Luria.

The mission of the Lurian Journal is to define the development prospects and new directions of modern Psychology and Neuroscience; publish interdisciplinary research; consolidate the scientific research of leading researchers and world-class specialists in the field of Psychological sciences and neurotechnology; preserve the legacy of A. R. Luria.

The aim of the Lurian Journal is to develop and scientifically popularize a Systemic Cultural-Historical approach in various fields of Psychology and Neuroscience.

The journal focuses on the following principles:

  1. R. Luria’s Systemic approach is a metatheory for a broad biosocial, cultural-historical understanding of man.
  2. Development of A. R. Luria’s ideas in various areas of modern psychological research.
  3. Reflection of new trends in Neuroscience, Neuropsychology, cognitive research and their connection with education.

The uniqueness of the Lurian Journal:

  1. Consolidation of scientific research in Neurosciences: Neuropsychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Neurolinguistics, Social Neuroscience.
  2. Preservation of the legacy of A. R. Luria and dissemination of the ideas of great Russian scientists: P. K. Anokhin,      N. A. Bernstein, L. S. Vygotsky, P. Ya. Galperin, J. M. Glozman, B. V. Zeigarnik, A. N. Leontiev, Yu. F. Polyakov,                E. N. Sokolov, etc.

 

Manuscripts are published in Russian or in English. Official languages of the journal: Russian and English.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original works that have not been published. Authors are responsible for obtaining copyright permission to reproduce illustrations, tables, figures taken from other authors and/or sources.

All articles are published free of charge.

Published every four months.

By submitting their manuscripts, the authors agree to the journal’s open access policy. Manuscripts are reviewed by leading experts in these fields (double-blind peer review), after which the final decision on the publication of the manuscript is made. Rejected manuscripts are not returned.

All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by highly qualified specialists and researchers recognized by the scientific community.
